Description
The route winds through picturesque country roads and crosses a very important natural park (Parco Regionale delle Dune Costiere).
It crosses the ancient Via Romana (Traiana) to arrive at a special place called Lamacornola, where, since the Bronze Age, man has found refuge and used the numerous natural caves as dwellings and for the production of oil and cheese. The beautiful “Strada Bianca” leads to an old farmhouse, where sheep and cows have been bred for generations, and where the owners will offer a tasting of cheese and wine with an ancient flavour.
