Casa Montalcino is a charming villa with a private pool in the heart of Tuscany, not far from Montalcino, the world-famous Brunello wine’s birthplace.
The structure, which began as the rectory of a 13th-century church, evolved into a comfortable residence over time and is now ideal for families and groups of friends who want to enjoy joyful occasions in a company and quiet and maximum privacy in moments of rest.
The outdoor areas are large, green, and picturesque. The magnificent private swimming pool (18×6 m) is surrounded by tall trees, ensuring privacy while taking refreshing baths and relaxing in the sun. The large covered veranda with five tables and the barbecue for convivial moments are simply fantastic.
The changing colours of stone and terracotta at Casa Montalcino take you by surprise, conveying a sense of the region’s history. A beautifully divided property is defined by an enchanting inner courtyard, arches and exposed stonework, ancient wooden beams, and a masterful mix of contemporary and traditional furnishings.
The entire living area, which includes a large open space with a lounge, dining area, and wine bar, is located on the ground floor of the main building. The kitchen is fully equipped (it was previously used for professional catering), and the wine bar is technically ideal for tasting the world’s best wines.
Four separate suites with a total capacity of 11-12 people make up the sleeping area. Both “Brunello” and “Vigna” have a lovely living room and can sleep four people in two double rooms with king-size beds and en-suite bathrooms. “Pozzo” has a king-size bed in the double bedroom, a bathroom, and a pleasant living room with a kitchenette. A charming alcove with a French bed is called “Canonica”.
Casa Montalcino will provide you with an unforgettable experience. You can easily reach Siena and Florence, Arezzo and San Gimignano, and explore every corner of the lush countryside designed by vineyards and tall cypress trees.

Pricing information
Standard booking conditions include a minimum of 3-4 nights for villas and 2-3 nights for apartments. Different booking conditions may apply for specific properties or seasons. Always check booking availability and rates for your stay. If you have specific requests don't hesitate to make an enquiry. The bedrooms made available, where the number of guests is below the maximum occupancy, and in case of a reduced rate due to the lower occupancy, will be adequate for the number of guests to stay there. The accommodation is for exclusive use.

Safety deposit: € 1300
For this facility: A security deposit must be paid in cash to the key holder upon arrival (any currency). This is to cover the cost of any damage or breakages to the property during your stay.
This sum will be reimbursed to you on the morning of departure, less any applicable claims. If you don't pay the deposit, the key holder may refuse to let you into the house.
All villas provide for the retention of the security deposit, before check-in, by pre-authorisation on the credit card or by bank transfer.
The deposit will be refunded upon departure, less any damage or consumption (in excess of that agreed in the booking). Greater compensation for further damage is always legally valid.
Terms & conditions
The below specific Booking conditions are related to Casale Montalcino. These specific conditions overrule the general conditions. For the other matters are still valid the General Booking Conditions
Point 1. Booking: The full amount for bookings made is due eight weeks before the beginning of the lease
Point 3 Arrival / Departure: Clients are required to check in between 4 and 7 p.m. and depart no later than 10 a.m. on the day of departure. You must give ScenTravel notice in advance and in writing if you desire to schedule an arrival or departure at a time other than those that are specified. Customers should get in touch with the ScenTravel office or the property contact in the event of flight delays or other inconveniences while travelling. The key holder must be paid in full upon arrival. Late arrivals are challenging to manage, and when they can, there will be an additional charge. NB: please be aware that it is typically not possible to schedule arrivals after 10 p.m. The decision to permit clients to enter the house at hours other than those specified is up to the key holder's discretion. ScenTravel disclaims all liability in this situation.
Point 5. Cancellation by the Customer: The cancellation will lead to the following penalties that will be expressed as a percentage of the amount on the booking: Date of the Cancellation’s Notification (Days before start of booking period) Penalty (% of the total amount of booking)
- At least eight weeks before arrival: 30%
- Eight to six weeks before arrival: 50%
- Six weeks or less before scheduled arrival: 100%
We require written notice of cancellations.
Point 7.1 COVID-19 Policy: In the current COVID-19 environment, we recognize that flexibility is necessary for travel planning. As a result, if the nation where the "party leader" (the person in whose name the reservation is made, to whom all contact is directed, and as such is liable for the rental) or the Italian Government imposes travel restrictions (border closures and/or travel bans), it will be possible to cancel the reservation free of charge from 30 days prior to arrival until the arrival date. In this situation, Scentravel will either refund the money or issue a voucher for the same amount that can be used on a future reservation. Please note that the requirement of a Covid certificate (Covid test, Covid vaccination, etc.) for entering Italy or returning to your country is not included in the travel restrictions. If the local authorities require a Covid certificate to stay in a touristic accommodation like our villas, there will be no reimbursement.
This applies to all booked bookings until 20 December 2022
Point 11 Contract Termination / Damages: Children under the age of 2 who are infants are not counted in the occupancy statistics.When reserving the property, it must be specified if the group includes more than one infant. Each child over the age of 2 will be included in the villa occupancy calculation, whether or not they are using a baby cot.
